Customer Requirement for the different paper book formats
The client requested us to assist her in customizing the book’s structure. The client has got the story and the artwork finished. Meanwhile, she wanted our suggestion on how to achieve a more interesting structure and the children could engage in it.
Our Solution for paper book formats
We discussed with the client and present all possible binding options of the books, paper-back, case-bound and softcover case-bound for client’s consideration. Meanwhile, we made digital proofing samples for all these 3 bindings for client’s consideration.
Option 01: Paperback book
The weight of a paperback book is light with cost sensitive. On the other hand, paperback book is unappealing and not good for storage.
Option 02: Case-bound book
Case-bound could make a book look better than the paperback. It could be more high quality and attractive.
Option 03: Softcover case bound book
We also tried to apply foam underneath the case wrap paper to make it as a softcover bound book. Softcover case bound book combined the advantage of paperback book and case bound book. It look luxury and feel soft and safe for kids.
Finally, the client chose option 03 – a softcover bound book for his book. He couldn’t wait to place the bulk order after confirming the sample. The bulk manufacturer will be finished within 1 month as the usual lead time. We are more than happy to see that our client will see their dream book very soon.
