Customer Requirement
The client has a limited budget for the structure development while he still wants some 3d effects and nice structures for his content. The book title is What on Earth Is in My Garden Shed?
Our Solution
- We finalized the structure for each spread at the beginning to focus on the development of the main pop-up structures and mechanisms. In order to make it less expensive, we keep a balance between the pop-up and text pages for the whole book. In this way, the book will look reasonable and slinky.
- For saving the production cost of hand assembly, we mostly used the frame structure of pop up to showcase the feature of the scenes.
- Combined with small mechanisms the pull-tab for a specific character enriches the functions of the book so that kids can play with it as interaction.
- Movement on the pop-up structure can drive the book vivid and fantastic.
- We made out the last spread with color printed for color reference.
